If you see this theme demo, you may be seen there is a section for the gallery items.

You can add gallery items from the admin area. Navigate to Gallery > Add New Gallery. Upload a featured image for the gallery image and add a category if you want. The categories will work as a filter.

Gallery itself will look like bellow in the front end of your site.
